Can Denon 4308 Enhance your Home Theater Experience?
A wide-screen TV, a DVD player, and speakers are typical components of a home theater system.
People who enjoy complete surround sound from DVDs and HDTV broadcasts use up to seven speakers and a subwoofer to enhance the experience. You may not consider features such as Pro Dolby Digital or 7 point surround sound as being very important. But if you want to sit at home, and enjoy the ambience of a cinema, you will relish the above features. Again, this depends on where your house is located. If you live in an area where your neighbors might complain of the noise, the surround sound may prove a disturbance.

Merely buying speakers of a recognized brand or model might only insure that they individually deliver great sound, while not working as a cohesive whole.
If you wish to be hassle free, not having to worry about whether your receiver and speaker set match, then, a Home theater in a box (HTiB) system is just what the doctor ordered.

These include a single unit that functions as an amplifier/ preamplifier/ control center, with a built-in DVD/ CD player or changer, a surround sound decoder that can decode all the major surround sound formats, including Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II, six speakers, and wireless remote control, all incorporated into this system.

JL Audio Vs. Boston Acoustic and JBL Vs. Rockford Fosgate?
I always liked JBL as a sub company and even more after installing my 6x8's which deliverd GREAT thump at 60 watts RMS.But the time has come to turn it up a notch. When I went to the pro shop,I was told that Boston Acoustic G2 is just as good as JL Audio(but JL is hard to find for reasonable $ in canada so not an option)But he said the Boston is cheaper and just as good,true?.Then he said both those brands are way better than JBL.Now my friend works at Best Buy, so will deff. buy my subs there(50% off) but now JBL GTO or Rockford P2 maybe P3?I'm leaning rockford now because after comparing price to Max handling, peak and RMS ratings Rockford seems a much better bargain.Is my love-affaire with Rockford justifiable or is JBL better than Rockford?PS- I know A LOT about subs and companies already,so please only answer if you have experienced the subs I'm asking about or if it sounds like you know more than me & for 90% HipHop 10% techno better to go with one 12' or two 10's?
well, when i went to get my subs, i went in the store wanting to buy a JL 12w7, or 2 12w6's. thankfully i listend to the Boston G5 before i bought JL audio. it was a cleaner clearer more accurate sound. so i went in wanting JL audio and left with 2 Boston G5's. so needless to say, i think there better then JL audio. not to mention i saved some money. ever sinse i have been hooked on the Boston sound. its really awesome. as far as the G2, it too is a great sub. it pretty much has the same sound as the G5, but its not as loud, and doesnt hit as hard. but it still hits pretty hard. as far as the JBL subs, i really cant tell you, cause i've never heard a JBL sub. but the Rockfords, i think sound like butt. there more for pounding then sounding good. check out Boston dude, you'll love what you'll hear.
